Solar-ready Dining Canopies Installed at Kingswinford Academy

Kingswinford Academy in Kingswinford, Birmingham is known as one of the best schools in the area, and constantly aims to increase its own standard with its motto, 'Aspire for Excellence'. Since joining Windsor Academy Trust in November 2016, the school has invested heavily in revamping and upgrading its facilities to help improve the student experience.

Dining Space Issues

As part of the latest upgrade, the school needed more dining space to relieve pressure on indoor facilities. They contacted Kensington Systems for help.

The Kensington Dining Canopy Solution & More

After a detailed design process, we installed a large Spaceshade dining canopy 29.5m in length x 10m wide overlooking the school field. 

The project included not only a large dining canopy but a smaller link canopy between the dining canopy and the existing building.

Kingswinford Academy also chose to install artificial turf underneath the new canopy to avoid any challenges with muddy surfaces in poor weather.
