The investment was driven by the need to avoid staggered lunch breaks, allowing more pupils to dine at the same time while encouraging social interaction and a stronger sense of community during breaks.  ![Ellis Guilford Dining canopy (5)](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(5).jpg?width=1000&height=667&name=Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(5).jpg) ### The Solution [Kensington Systems](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/about-us) delivered a bespoke SpaceMax dining canopy, installed in the [playground](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/spaceshade/outdoor-learning-playground-canopies) adjacent to an existing SpaceShade dining canopy that had been installed several years earlier. ![Ellis Guilford Dining canopy (7)](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(7).jpg?width=1000&height=667&name=Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(7).jpg) The new structure is fully enclosed with glazed side walls and has integrated heating and lighting, creating a comfortable, weather-protected environment that can be used throughout the year regardless of weather. ![Ellis Guilford Dining canopy (2)](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(2).jpg?width=1000&height=667&name=Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(2).jpg) To maximise capacity and functionality, the [school](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/spaceshade/education) selected long communal dining tables, making the most efficient use of the available space while encouraging students to eat and socialise together. ![Ellis Guilford Dining canopy (6)](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(6).jpg?width=1000&height=667&name=Ellis%20Guilford%20Dining%20canopy%20(6).jpg) ## Completed Canopy Project Designed and installed in accordance with current building regulations, the completed facility provides Ellis Guilford School with a modern, practical dining environment that enhances both operational efficiency and the student experience.  [![Looking to upgrade your outdoor space?
