Kensington Systems installed Spaceshade outdoor learning canopies for the new teaching block constructed at Castle Primary School in Keynsham, Bristol. The new build has provided Castle Primary with the space to expand to a 2FE school.
The canopy frames were powder coated in RAL 7012 to match the external finishes, and coloured polycarbonate roof panels were chosen for the canopies in the reception area.
Red, orange and yellow were chosen to evoke the feeling of sunshine even on grey days.
The Spaceshade canopy system features gutters and downpipes concealed in the frame and can connect directly to underground drainage channels to avoid any slip hazard caused by excess surface water.
The new playground shelters have become an ideal space for pupils to enjoy outdoor learning and play in a vibrant, exciting environment.
