[Kensington Systems](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/about-us) was appointed to design, supply and install a large [Spaceshade dining canopy](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/spaceshade/outdoor-dining-canopies) with enclosed polycarbonate side panels, creating a sheltered external dining environment adjacent to the main [school](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/spaceshade/education) buildings.  ![Brunts Academy outdoor dining canopy](https://26880358.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26880358/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(4).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(4).jpg) ## School Outdoor Canopy Installation The new structure significantly expands the school’s usable footprint during peak lunchtime periods. By relocating a portion of dining outside, internal congestion is reduced and student flow is improved - helping the school operate more efficiently without the need for permanent building extensions.  ![Inside Brunts Academy outdoor dining canopy](https://26880358.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26880358/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(7).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(7).jpg) ### Additional Features The addition of enclosed polycarbonate sides provides enhanced protection from wind and rain while maintaining excellent levels of natural daylight. This creates a bright, comfortable environment that feels open and welcoming rather than enclosed, encouraging students to make full use of the space in all seasons.  ![Aerial view of Brunts Academy school and their new outdoor dining canopy](https://26880358.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26880358/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(11).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(11).jpg) Spaceshade dining canopies are specifically engineered for busy school environments. Their clean-lined steel framework offers long-term durability and low maintenance, while high-performance roofing systems provide reliable weather protection. The modular design allows [canopies](https://kensingtonsystems.co.uk/spaceshade) to be tailored to suit available space, seating layouts and future expansion plans - making them an ideal solution for schools managing growing pupil numbers.  ![Brunts Academy school outdoor dining canopy installation](https://26880358.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hub/26880358/hubfs/Website%20Imagery/Spaceshade/Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(3).jpg?width=1200&length=1200&name=Brunts%20Academy%20dining%20canopy%20(3).jpg) ## Outdoor Dining Canopy Solution The completed installation at Brunts Academy delivers a robust, modern dining space that supports operational efficiency, student wellbeing and year-round usability - a practical investment with immediate impact.
