Established in 1964 and now part of the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership, the school is dedicated to reducing inequality both inside and outside the classroom. They wanted to cover two sheltered courtyards to provide sheltered dining and social space for students during breaks. The sheltered courtyard location helps to provide weather protection without needing additional side walls. The new canopies were powdercoated in red to match the school colours. Adding vibrancy to the school grounds, red represents power, courage and strength.
